The apartment was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities one could possibly need for a self-catering stay. the flat was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished, making for a pleasant and relaxing stay. One of the highlights for me was the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and large fridge freezer. the addition of a dining table allowed for cozy meals in, while the sitting area was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the beautiful Lake District. In terms of location, the hotel is centrally located just off the High Street, making it convenient to access shops, restaurants, and local attractions. the free parking on site was a definite plus, as parking in Cockermouth can be a bit challenging. Overall, my stay at the Cumberland Retreat was a great balance of cost and luxury, offering a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the stunning Lake District. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in this beautiful region.
